Edinburgh Paper Flowers

We create paper flowers - and teach the art of making them.

Our paper art classes are a unique experience for all ages and abilities.
Classes are featured at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Dovecot Studios and Honeypot Ceramics.

Edinburgh craft workshops are available for groups of up to 18 – offering ten unique flower making classes .

For smaller groups of up to 8 we are now taking Spring 2026 workshop bookings hosted at our new garden studio.

The Art of Paper Flowers

Sharing flowers is a huge part of human culture – and a gesture of love. The natural world offers so much beauty, it’s an obvious place of inspiration for any artist.

The skill of the paper florist is both creative and technical. I love creating my own dyes to transform the Italian crepe paper. Deconstructing and recreating each flower in an imaginative way. Then, like a traditional florist the final challenge is bringing the bouquet together.

Jen O'Flaherty | Paper Florist

I have been making paper flowers for the last five years, but it’s not been a straight forward journey. After high school I began studying textiles at college, I graduated with a degree in ‘Performance Costume’ from ECA.

After working across a range of creative disciplines, it was a simple sheet of paper I enjoy crafting the most – and the best part is it can be taught to anyone. I love creating new works and I’m thrilled to be teaching craft classes across Scotland!
